The Vegas Golden Knights have continued to cross off every achievement attainable in their historic inaugural season.
This past Saturday, they have reached another major milestone in clinching the Pacific Division title against the San Jose Sharks.
The Sharks need one win to claim their playoff berth. As for the Knights, they needed one more win to claim the Pacific division.
As being the top two teams in the division, the two rivals showed a glimpse of what can be expected if they meet in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The rivalry game was off to a quick start with the Knights immediately scoring the first goal within the first three minutes of the game. Not long after, the Sharks answered with a goal of their own to tie the game up at 1-1.
The second period maintained the playoff intensity. The Golden Knights were quick to add to the scoreboard and took the lead during the first three minutes of the second. However, the Sharks stuck around and tied up the match before the final period.
The Knights came into the third period on a higher playing level where they led the Sharks 61-43 in shot attempts early in the third.
During the third, the Sharks had a man advantage due to a tripping penalty and this could be their shining moment. However, the Knights forced a turnover and William Karlsson won the game and the division title in an unbelievable manner.
Off an errant pass, Karlsson took the puck where he went one-on-one with the Sharks goalie. Karlsson used his craftiness and pushed the puck back between his legs as the goaltender reached in, and left the net open for Karlsson to score his 42nd goal of the season.
The team at Adam S. Kutner & Associates was able to give away two tickets and a Zamboni ride to this unbelievable game. Take a look through our Facebook post for more pictures of our winner.
