It was Frost The Fortress day at T-Mobile Arena. Golden Knights players and fans donned wore their road whites at home for a special holiday contest against Pacific rivals LA Kings.

The game began slowly as both teams had very limited chances on net. Midway through the period, Tomas Nosek whacked a bouncing puck over goaltender Cal Peterson. The Golden Knights took a 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission.

In the second period, LA got on the board tying the game 1-1 with Michael Amadio’s second goal of the season. Vegas responded six minutes later as Reilly Smith broke the tie 2-1. Smith scored his eighth goal of the season. Unfortunately, the Kings weren’t finished scoring. Forward Alex Iafallo tied the game 2-2 heading to the break.

The game came down to an exciting third period. Vegas got down early as LA’s Jeff Carter added the third goal on an Kings power play. It was LA’s first lead of the game. Thankfully, for Golden Knights fans the game wasn’t over.

Monster forward Ryan Reaves tipped in his seventh of the game to extend the contest. In back to back nights, the game needed an overtime period to decide a winner. Unfortunately, LA got the overtime winner on a Tyler Toffoli breakaway to clinch the game 4-3.

Vegas’ record drops to (20-15-4) as they pause for a four-day Christmas break. The team will suit up again on Thursday, December 27th against the Colorado Avalanche.

Merry Christmas Golden Knights fans!
