The Vegas Golden Knights returned from their road trip to face the New Jersey Devils.
The Devils are in a race to secure a playoff spot as they look to beat the Golden Knights in their first trip to Las Vegas.
The Devils immediately set the tone of the game within the first few minutes of the game, following a pair of Golden Knights’ mistakes.
Within 42 seconds of a Vegas power play, the Devils were able to get ahead on the break and score the first goal of the game.
Not long after, a cross-ice pass bounced off one of the Knights’ sticks directly into their own goal, giving the Devils a 2-0 lead.
In the second period, the Devils maintained the pressure by taking a 4-0 lead before the Knights would score.
The Knights scored two goals in the second to cut the deficit to 4-2.
However, the momentum didn’t change and the Devils maintained their pressure by scoring 4 goals in the third period.
The Golden Knights managed to score one more goal in the third to end the game in an 8-3 loss.
