The Vegas Golden Knights took the ice against the Minnesota Wild this past Friday night.
The Wild have been playing with playoff intensity as they fight for a spot in the postseason, which showed against the Knights.
Minnesota started the game strong and was able to strike first off a goal from Las Vegas native, Jason Zucker. The Wild had a 1-0 lead to end the first period.
The Wild kept applying the pressure by scoring twice in the second period, as the Knights were still struggling to get themselves in the game. The Golden Knights headed to intermission trailing 3-0.
During the third period, the Golden Knights finally started to play their game and were able to score twice in the final seven minutes of the game. Unfortunately, it was too late in the game and the Wild delivered the final blow with an empty-net goal.
The Minnesota Wilde beat the Golden Knights 4-2 and swept the Golden Knights (3-0) for the season match-up.
