The Vegas Golden Knights continue to reach milestones in their historical inaugural season as they clinched a playoff spot against the Colorado Avalanche.
The Knights have become the first team to reach the Stanley Cup Playoffs in their first season of existence.
Last night’s game against the Avalanche was another home-and-homes series, where the two teams faced each other on Saturday in Colorado and then played another match on Monday in Las Vegas.
The first period came out to be a playoff-like atmosphere as both teams played competitively. The first period ended scoreless, as they entered the second period in a 0-0 tie.
The second period started and the Golden Knights were able to strike first off a shot from Alex Tuch during the first power play.
Not long after, the Avalanche were able to tie the game off a rebound.
However, the Knights were able to regain control and score another goal, ending the period with a 2-1 lead.
During the third period, it was all Golden Knights as they scored another pair of goals to win the game, 4-1.
