Vegas forward Jonathan Marchessault is a man on fire. After a two-goal performance in Game 2, #81 led Game 3 with a first period backhanded beauty. After twenty minutes of play, the Golden Knights led Winnipeg 1-0.
Winnipeg broke through in the second with a Mark Scheifele deflection in front of Marc-Andre Fleury giving the Jets life. However, James Neal scored 0:12 seconds later to regain the lead.
The Jets made things difficult for Vegas in the third but held on to their lead 3-2. Game 2 hero Marchessault came up with an empty-netter, securing the victory for the Golden Knights 4-2.
