2/26 Winner of Adam Kutner’s Ticket & Zamboni Ride Giveaway

Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers visited Las Vegas for a midweek matchup against the Golden Knights and we were able to give away tickets and a ride on the Zamboni to one lucky fan. After multiple attacks by the Oilers, the Golden Knights fought back and stole the early 1-0 lead. Max Pacioretty scored his 30th of the season giving his team the one-goal edge after the opening 20 minutes.

The 2nd was a back and forth defensive period. Each team was awarded a power play but neither could convert. Both goaltenders made some key saves to keep the game tight. After two periods played the Golden Knights held on to their 1-0 lead.

Newly acquired forward Nick Cousins gave Vegas a 2-0 lead with his first goal as a Golden Knight. Shea Theodore would later add to the lead scoring his 10th of the season. Marc-Andre Fleury continued to shut down the Oilers in the 3rd, preserving his 5th shutout of the season. Vegas tripled up Edmonton 3-0 for the final score.

Vegas’ record improves to 34-23-8 and remain in first place in the Pacific Division with 78 points. Next, the Golden Knights face off against the Buffalo Sabres on Friday night. Game time is scheduled for 7 pm

2/22 Winner of Adam Kutner’s Ticket & Zamboni Ride Giveaway

Vegas hosted the Florida Panthers for Miracle Night at the T-Mobile Arena and we were able to give one lucky fan tickets to the game and a ride on the Zamboni. 40 years ago, the United States hockey team beat the Soviets, and the Golden Knights welcomed in the Miracle on Ice roster.

Florida jumped out to quick start taking the 1-0 lead 3:28 into the game. Tomas Nosek tied the game later in the period scoring his 7th goal of the season. After the opening 20 minutes, the game was locked up 1-1.

The Panthers regained the lead quickly into the 2nd period. On a carryover power play, Florida took advantage and took a 2-1 edge. William Carrier tied the game for Vegas with his 7th goal of the season. Max Pacioretty scored his 29th, giving his team the 3-2 lead right before the period expired.

Reilly Smith doubled Vegas’ lead just :19 seconds into the final period. Smith buried his 24th goal of the year stretching the lead 4-2. The Panthers got within one but Smith would score his second of the game on an empty-net goal. The Golden Knights closed out the game 5-3.

Vegas’ record improves to 33-22-8 and remains in 1st place in the Pacific with 74 points.

2/20 Winner of Adam Kutner’s Ticket & Zamboni Ride Giveaway

The Golden Knights welcomed in the blazing hot Tampa Bay Lightning team for a Thursday night game at The Fortress and we were able to give one lucky fan tickets to the game. The Lightning got on the board first 7:02 into the game. However, newly acquired defenseman Alec Martinez tied the game for Vegas 1-1 late in the opening period.

Reilly Smith set up Paul Statsny 6:45 into the 2nd period giving Vegas the 2-1 lead. Tampa tied the game on a power-play goal by Steven Stamkos. The game wouldn’t be tied for long as Mark Stone gave his team the 3-2 lead a minute later.

Vegas held a one-goal lead going into the 3rd period but Ryan Reaves scored his 7th goal of the season right off the faceoff. Max Pacioretty added his 28th:37 seconds after on the power play. In a blink, the Golden Knights held a commanding 5-2 lead. Tampa got a power-play goal but Vegas would close out the game 5-3.

Vegas’ record improves to 32-22-8 and now has 72 points on the seasn. The team will get back to business on Saturday night against the Florida Panthers. Puck drops at 7 pm.

2/17 Winner of Adam Kutner’s Ticket & Zamboni Ride Giveaway

The Golden Knights took on the Washington Capitals and we were able to give one lucky fan tickets to the game and a ride on the Zamboni. The Golden Knights got off to a great start with Nick Holden scoring his 5th goal of the season 3:43 into the game. Vegas jumped on Washington early and capitalized on their mistakes. Reilly Smith doubled the Golden Knights lead with his 23rd of the season late in the opening frame. After 20 minutes the home team held a 2-0 edge.

Max Pacioretty gave his team a three-goal lead 14:06 into the 2nd period. Vegas held Washington to only 6 shots in the period, and 0 shots on the power play. After the first two periods, the Golden Knights were up 3-0.

 

The Capitals got back into the game in the 3rd period getting two power-play goals from TJ Oshie. However, the Golden Knights were able to fight off the Caps attack and close out the game 3-2.

 

Vegas improves its record to 31-22-8 raising their point total to 70 points. The Golden Knights take on a tough Tampa team on Thursday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7p.

2/15 Winner of Adam Kutner’s Ticket & Zamboni Ride Giveaway

The Vegas Golden Knights took on the New York Islanders and we were able to give away tickets and a ride on the Zamboni to one lucky fan! The Golden Knights were looking for their first back-to-back wins at home since January 4th. The game began with a heavyweight battle seconds after the puck was dropped. Ryan Reaves and Ross Johnston matched up and threw a bevy of punches. Both were sent to the penalty box for five minutes. Ten minutes later, Nick Holden and Anders Lee squared off earning five-minute majors of their own. After 20 minutes the game was a scoreless tie.

The 2nd period was less physical, but again strong defensively for both teams. Reilly Smith opened up the scoring with :34 seconds left in the period. It gave Vegas a 1-0 lead with one period remaining.

Vegas continued to offensively attack New York in the 3rd period. The Golden Knights did a great job limiting the Islanders to 3 shots on net in the first 15 minutes of the 20 minutes. Marc-Andre Fleury secured the 1-0 shutout by saving all 19 shots by New York.

Vegas’ record improves to 30-22-8 and raises their point total to 68 points. The team will hit the ice next on Monday afternoon against the Washington Capitals. Puck drop is scheduled for 3P.

02/08 Winner of Adam Kutner’s Ticket & Zamboni Ride Giveaway

The Vegas Golden Knights made their anticipated return to the Fortress and we were able to give some lucky fans tickets and a ride on the Zamboni. It was Pete DeBoer’s first game in Vegas as the Golden Knights head coach. His team came out strong for him in the first. Max Pacioretty scored his 24th of the season, and Jon Merrill added his second for 2-0 edge. Carolina would get one on the board late in the period on a fluky goal passed Marc-Andre Fleury making it 2-1 Vegas.

Shea Theodore gave Vegas a two-goal lead at:59 seconds into the 2nd period. The Golden Knights would hold a 3-1 lead for the rest of the 2nd period.

Sebastian Aho scored quickly to start the 3rd period getting the visiting team within one. Chandler Stephenson gave Vegas a two-goal lead again with a shorthanded tally. Carolina’s Erik Haula scored a power-play goal two minutes later making it 4-3 Vegas.

The Hurricanes wouldn’t go away and tied it up 4-4 halfway through the final period. Carolina took a 5-4 lead six minutes later. However, Cody Eakin tied the game at five with a big goal late in the period. The game would need an overtime penalty and eventually a shootout to decide the winner. Carolina scored two passed Marc-Andre Fleury to seal the 6-5 SO victory.

Vegas’ record drops to 28-22-8 with 64 points on the season. Next up for the Golden Knights is the Minnesota Wild. The team will travel to play the Wild on Tuesday night. Game starts at 5P.
