As the summer begins to wind down, children and their parents are starting to gear up for the back-to-school season. For many, this means gathering supplies from a long list of items necessary for success in whatever grade. However, for some, these supplies are not readily available or accessible. To promote the success of children throughout our community, back-to-school fairs can help parents ensure they have access to everything their child needs to thrive this school year.

Back-to-school fairs not only serve to help parents get much-needed supplies for their deserving children, but they are an excellent opportunity for the community to get together for a great cause. One of this year’s back-to-school fairs helped get children prepared and excited for a new year of learning and success. Here’s more about the fair sponsored by Adam Kutner Cares and La Campesina 96.7 FM.

Partnering for the Community

Prominent Las Vegas personal injury lawyer Adam Kutner teamed up with popular local radio station La Campesina to support valley children. The back-to-school fair was held at The Boulevard Mall on Saturday, July 20th, 2019. Children of all ages were excited to get prepared for school while enjoying festive entertainment with something for everyone.

Through his charitable organization, Adam Kutner Cares, injury attorney Adam Kutner was able to provide everything from backpacks to pencils for deserving children at the exciting fair. Supplies like these ensure students are ready to go into the school year prepared to focus on academic success. Kutner is a longtime supporter of valley children through charitable donations to a number of initiatives that boost the future leaders of our community.

A Good Time for a Great Cause

This year’s fair was unlike any other with plenty of offerings to keep the whole family engaged and entertained. Along with a bevy of assorted school supplies, the fair boasted performances from talented local musicians and dance presentations perfect for the entire family.

The fair also offered plenty for parents as well. Local parents were provided with helpful information from experts on everything from buying a house, health plans, life and car insurance information, and insight on starting a business. These types of community events are important to members of any age group to get the resources they need to reach the next level of success in their lives.

Adam Kutner Cares is proud to partner with organizations throughout the community to give back.

The 22-year-old Roy has appeared in a total of seven NHL games – all with the Hurricanes – and has recorded two penalty minutes. Last season with the American Hockey League’s Charlotte Checkers, he finished with 36 points (17 G, 19 A) to go with 28 penalty minutes in 69 games and ranked third on the team with five game-winning goals. He also appeared in 19 Calder Cup playoff games for the Checkers and helped lead the team to a Calder Cup championship. Roy finished tied for third on the team in playoff scoring with 15 points (6 G, 9 A) to go with 14 penalty minutes. In two seasons in the AHL, he amassed 74 points (28 G, 46 A) to go with 65 penalty minutes in 139 games.

The native of Amos, Quebec was selected by Carolina in the fourth round (96th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Throughout two seasons with the Golden Knights, Haula appeared in 91 games after being selected by the team during the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft from the Minnesota Wild.

Roy will compete for a spot on the Golden Knights roster this upcoming training camp. Camp begins on September 12th.

It would be tough to find a player that wasn’t loved by Golden Knights fans in their inaugural season. David Perron was one of those beloved players.

Golden Knights center Paul Stastny’s father Peter Stastny retired from the NHL when he was 38-years-old. His son Paul is five years away from reaching that achievement. The older Stastny was inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame in 1998 after registering 1239 points (450 Goals, 789 Assists) for the Nordiques, Devils and Blues. In his outstanding career, Peter Stastny averaged 1.27 points per game spanning over 15 seasons, which is seventh best in NHL history,
