A Sweet Surprise for Darnell Elementary’s 5th Graders

We had an unforgettable morning at Darnell Elementary School with the CCSD Engagement Unit. We brought custom Pinkbox Doughnuts and some even sweeter news for Mrs. Janette’s fifth grade class. Every student is going to the Vegas Golden Knights home game on October 3.

To make the experience even more memorable, Mrs. Janette will also ride the Adam Kutner Zamboni during the game. This once in a lifetime opportunity celebrates her incredible dedication to her students.

Why This Class Was Chosen

As part of the Adam S. Kutner Community Champion Award program, we invited CCSD staff to nominate deserving classes and teachers for this prize. Mrs. Janette’s nomination stood out right away:

“Our 5th graders are amazing! We have 120 5th grade friends this year! The growth these incoming 5th graders showed from 4th to 5th was huge! Our Reading and Math scores showed the most growth out of all the CCSD Elementary schools! That’s GRIT! The past 7 years my Spread Kindness campaign to honor the Vegas 58 has been in place at Cadwallader MS. The 8th grade artists create life sized angel wings in honor of all 58 angels. The gallery opens on Oct. 1 each year to the community! Healing!”

Her words reflect not only the academic achievements of her students but also the compassion and resilience that she fosters in her classroom and community.

Celebrating Grit and Kindness

From academic growth to community impact, this fifth grade class truly represents what it means to be champions. Their hard work, spirit, and kindness remind us why recognizing educators and students is so important.

Congratulations to Mrs. Janette and all of her students. Enjoy the game, and as always:

Go Knights Go! 🏒✨

Adam Kutner Cares Supports BE A SHERO Foundation’s “I Am Radiant” Fashion Show

Adam Kutner Cares is honored to continue supporting BE A SHERO Foundation and its powerful mission to empower survivors of exploitation. Over the weekend, our team proudly sponsored the foundation’s inspiring “I Am Radiant” Fashion Show, an event dedicated to celebrating strength, courage, and resilience.

Hosted at Fashion Show Mall, the runway was filled with incredible participants who shared their light and reminded everyone in attendance that hope and healing are possible. We were proud to stand among advocates, community leaders, and supporters who are all working toward the same goal of creating a safer world for vulnerable youth and survivors of human trafficking.

This year’s event was extra special for our team. A couple of our Adam Kutner Cares members were invited to hit the runway, further demonstrating our commitment to walking alongside survivors and supporting the SHERO Foundation’s mission.

Our partnership with BE A SHERO Foundation is an important part of our ongoing effort to give back to the Las Vegas community. Together, we are helping raise awareness, provide critical resources, and inspire others to get involved in the fight against exploitation.

Standing with Nevada Child Seekers to Protect Our Community’s Children

At Adam Kutner Cares, we are dedicated to supporting causes that protect and strengthen families in our community. This back-to-school season, our team joined Nevada Child Seekers at Cox Back to School events held at SkyView YMCA and Meadows Mall.

During the events, we distributed child safety kits to families. These kits give parents essential tools such as fingerprint records and DNA samples that can be safely stored with family documents. While no one wants to imagine a child going missing, having this information readily available can be critical in assisting law enforcement during urgent situations.

To further our commitment, Adam Kutner made a $10,000 donation to Nevada Child Seekers, marking one of the largest contributions the organization has ever received. This gift helps sustain their mission of keeping children safe, raising awareness about missing youth, and providing resources for prevention and recovery.

We are proud to stand beside Nevada Child Seekers in their work to protect children and support families across Nevada. Together, we can create a safer community for every child.

Vegas Golden Knights vs St Louis Blues 1-20-2025

The Golden Knights were looking to snap their three game losing streak with a win at home vs. the St. Louis Blues. The visiting team took the opening lead but Tomas Hertl wiped away St. Louis’ lead minutes later with a power play score. With seconds remaining in the opening twenty minutes the Blues answered back with a power at goal of their own.

St. Louis took a 3-1 lead early in the middle frame but a minute later Brett Howden cut the Blues lead to one with his 16th goal of the season. However, just like the 1st period, with under a minute to go St. Louis scored to regain their two goal advantage.

Vegas had several chances to climb back in the final frame and finally broke through with a few minutes left in the contest. Jack Eichel recorded his 12th goal to get the Golden Knights within one. A shift later Pavel Dorofeyev forced overtime with his 20th goal of the season. Eventually, the Blues would outlast the Golden Knights.

The Golden Knights record drops to 29-14-4 falling to the Blues 5-4 in OT. Vegas will travel to St. Louis for the second half of a home-and-home with the Blues. Puck drop on Thursday night is scheduled for 5 PM.

The Golden Knights were trying to remain undefeated in 2025 with a victory over the visiting New York Islanders. Vegas thought they had taken a 1-0 lead seven minutes into the game off a Tomas Hertl power play goal, but it was reviewed, and Hertl was ruled offside. Ten minutes later the Islanders opened the scoring and went into the opening intermission leading 1-0.

New York had several early chances to start the middle frame and cashed in at the five-minute mark. The Islanders extended their lead to 3-0 at the midway point of the 2nd period.

The Islanders continued to frustrate the Golden Knights in the final period. Vegas pulled Adin Hill with four minutes left in the game but New York sealed the game with an empty net score.

The Golden Knights record drops to 28-10-3 falling to the Islanders 4-0. Vegas will remain home for two upcoming games this weekend. Puck drop against the New York Rangers is scheduled for Saturday at 7 PM.
